About the discussion

Many artistic movements have stemmed from an oppressive system. Oppression has been a major catalyst for movements like Theatre of the Oppressed or for dances like capoeira and tango. Does the urgency of oppression make us more creative? Do we need oppression in order to create? What motivates us to create when we don’t find ourselves moved by oppression? Come and share your thoughts on what motivates us to do art.
